Kalima Tayyibah is the foundation of Islam. It declares the absolute Oneness of Allah (Tawheed) and confirms the prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ. Accepting this statement with sincere conviction and acting upon it is the entry point into the fold of Islam. It is the first and most important declaration every Muslim makes, and it is the statement that distinguishes belief from disbelief. This kalima is the essence of the entire Quran and the core message of every prophet sent by Allah.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says La ilaha illallah will enter Paradise." (Sahih Bukhari). It is the heaviest deed on the scale and the key to Paradise.
