Surah Al-Isra 17:78

أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِدُلُوكِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَىٰ غَسَقِ اللَّيْلِ وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ ۖ إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا

"Establish prayer at the decline of the sun until the darkness of the night and [also] the Quran at dawn. Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed."

Why Fajr (Dawn Prayer) Is Important

Fajr is the first prayer of the day and one of the most emphasized. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever prays the Fajr prayer is under the protection of Allah." (Muslim)
The two sunnah rakats of Fajr are more virtuous than the entire world and everything in it. (Muslim)
Hypocrites find Fajr and Isha the most difficult prayers. Praying them regularly is a sign of true faith. (Bukhari & Muslim)
